I was delighted when the registration certificate came through from the UK Patent OfficeĀ for the trademark for My Life PackĀ® and “My Life Pack… Your Life at Your Fingertips Ā®.” Although I already had copyright established for the design and content from my first drafts starting in 2011Ā and onwards I’d applied for a trademark as I had spent so much time writing, designingĀ and developing My Life Pack. It was such an interesting project and I learnt a lot along the way and also successfully applied for an ISBN number as it can be classed as a book.
This required a copy of My Life Pack to be lodged with the British Library as they keep a copy of all UK ISBN numbered books. The whole trademark application process was completed in just over 3 months and was awarded without query which I later learnt is quite unusual. I’ll be making use of the Ā® symbol now instead of ā¢.
